Construction of a striking new library on a 100-year-old campus. The sharp angles and geometric design required innovative construction methods for successful completion of the project before the start of the new semester.

Regular coordination meetings and job conferences, to monitor progress and avoid anticipated obstacles, were invaluable to the timely completion of the project.

The scope included:

  • Steel frame on cast-in-place concrete foundation
  • Open atrium with split-floor interior layout
  • Gothic dormered slate roof
  • Lead-coated copper sheathing
  • Quartzite sandstone veneer
  • Thermal-glazed aluminum windows
