Project Description

Construction management services to restore and expand 75 year old structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places included:

  • 74 faculty offices
  • 14 classrooms
  • Case study room
  • Computer labs
  • WritingCenter
  • Auditorium-theater type classroom
  • Courtyard

Construction challenges included:

  • Excavating 7 feet of earth and underpinning existing building
  • Shoring and extending basement columns in place to lower basement floor by 3 feet
  • Upgrading all MEP systems
  • Replication and restoration of chair rail, mill work, pedestal, plaques, plaster cornices, and chandelier
  • Replication of 8 exterior rosettes
