Construction of a one-story addition to Marshall and Buchanan Halls and renovations to adjacent areas in a residential facility located on an occupied college campus included:

• Seminar room
• Living room with fireplace
• Multipurpose meeting room
• Kitchen, bathrooms, and storage areas
• Granite terrace walls
• High end finishes including maple and limestone flooring, custom fabricated fireplace surround panels, custom millwork panels, shelving, and benches, and sky lights
• Brick patio with custom granite benches

Sustainable building features included:

• Vegetated roof system allowing for a decrease in storm water run-off, and preventing heat gain during summer
• Large expanses of curtainwall and skylights for natural daylighting to reduce energy consumption for lighting
• Energy recovery units in HVAC system
