Lancaster General Hospital - Cafeteria Addition

Project Type
Additions & Renovations
Project Description

LancasterGeneralHospitalneeded to renovate and expand its food service facilities. But the kitchen had to keep turning out 1,500 patient meals a day.

A cafeteria had to stay open for employees.

And to further complicate matters, the expansion work would be surrounded by and built into the existing hospital on three sides.

Strategic planning and close coordination between the hospital and Wohlsen kept the breakfasts, lunches and dinners coming steadily.

The scope included:

  • 150-foot underground passageway
  • Administrative offices
  • Locker rooms
