Preconstruction and construction management services to expand the square footage and working environments of the existing Division of Public Health laboratory facility. The phased project will include:
Laboratory Expansion:
- Administrative offices, training areas, and a support facility
- Eleven total refurbished or new laboratories
- Biological sample receiving area
- Mechanical mezzanine
- Warehouse and mechanical/electrical space
- Multi-purpose space for staff and public health programs
EPI Wing addition:
First-floor expansion including:
- One Bio Safety Level (BSL-1) laboratory, including Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP)
- Two Bio Safety Level (BSL-3) laboratories, including gowning/doffing rooms, safety showers, and an autoclave
- One Rabies laboratory, including gowning/doffing rooms
Two floors of Epidemiology office space, including health data collection and statistics
